Come Join the Fun!
1st annual Central Ohio Joint Communities Roadeo! Central Ohio communities including Counties, Municipalities, Townships and ODOT District operators are invited to come enjoy a day of competition, networking and comradery.
Each entity is requested to send one competing operator and as many spectators as you would like to cheer on the event.
Please bring your own truck to the event. We are limiting the event to single axle dump trucks.
Don’t forget the plow!
Awards will be presented for the first, second and third place winners!
A boxed lunch will be provided for all attendees and we will have a lunch and learn education session on winter weather.
Snow truck vendors will be onsite to answer any questions that you have as well.

Rules:
-One driver representative per agency; unlimited additional “spectators”
-Closed course-only scorekeepers and course maintenance staff allowed on course once event starts for safety purposes
-Each agency must provide their own truck; note that some of the value from this event comes from seeing other truck setups and sharing best practices
-Trucks shall be single axel dump trucks, with plow on. Minimum dump size is 8 CY; course is set up for a 10’ plow width. If you cannot provide a truck that meets these requirements, please let us know as you register.
-Each agency must register their driver in advance thru the APWA website.
-Agencies may send an unlimited number of show spectators, provided they register in advance thru APWA
Prior to the competition, drivers will have the chance to watch a course overview video as well as walk the course to see the obstacles.
-While driving the course, City of Columbus staff will be on site to help drivers locate the next obstacle and understand the objectives, but will not be able to provide assistance in navigating the obstacle.
-Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place
In the event of a tie, a pre-selected obstacle will serve as the first tiebreaker; a second preselected obstacle will serve as the second tiebreaker. If two or more drivers are still tied for first place after two tiebreakers, they will run the course again to determine a winner. If two or more drivers are still tied for second or third place after the first two tiebreakers, they will split the prizes.
-Points vary by obstacle, with the maximum possible score being 100 points
