Columbus to Host National Green Vehicle Fleet Conference

The Midwest Green Fleets Forum & Expo promotes alternative fuels to public, private vehicle fleets

(Columbus, OH) Clean Fuels Ohio, the Municipal Equipment Maintenance Association (MEMA), and The 100 Best Fleets in North America, are partnering to host the inaugural Midwest Green Fleets Forum & Expo Sept. 23- 24, 2015 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. The two-day event is focused on the education and promotion of alternative fuel vehicles, electric vehicles, and efficiency technologies for public and private fleets.

The conference will feature educational breakout sessions covering topics such as the petroleum price debate, fleet analysis and planning, available grants and incentives, and a future technology forum. Attendees will also have the option to take tours of nearby industry sites including Honda of America and Parker Hannifin manufacturing plants. In addition, the OSU Center for Automotive Research (OSU CAR) will host a tour on day two of the conference.

Clean Fuels Ohio will announce the 2015 Ohio Green Fleets Wednesday evening of the forum. The awardees will be designated as one, three, or five-star certified Ohio Green Fleets based on quantifiable improvements in vehicle fuel efficiency and environmental performance.

Day two of the conference will include The Green Fleet Awards hosted by Tom Johnson, author of 100 Best Fleets in North America. During this session, Johnson will announce the top 50 green fleets in the nation, an award based evaluation of key categories including fleet composition, fuel type, emissions, and more.
